Description The Chisholm Trail Roundup is held every year the first Saturday in June. The one-day festival provides great fun for those interested in Living History. The peak years of the Chisholm Trail were from 1867 to 1887. After the Civil War the Northern United States was hungry for beef and a trail was carved from Texas to various points in Kansas. The trail was named after Jesse Chisholm.
The Living History is performed in a historic replica of a Western town. If you would like to see life before 1887 visit the Living History part of the Roundup. Gunfighters, Civil War re-enactments, cannon fire, covered wagons, a chicken scramble, pie eating contests, Musicians, a one-room schoolhouse, campfires and settlements are plentiful.
If the modern day is your preference you will find musical groups, children’s activities and much more. You will experience things such as pony rides, petting zoo, train rides, clowns and face painting, crafts, fishing, food, live country music, craft show and more!
The event is held at the Kirkpatrick Family Farm near the intersection of Vandament Avenue and Garth Brooks Boulevard. Parking and admission are free, so be sure to visit the first Saturday in June.
Sponsors include the City of Yukon, the Chisholm Trail Historical Preservation Society, Kirkpatrick Family Fund, Yukon National Bank, Canadian State Bank, and Westpointe Chrysler-Dodge-Jeep.

Description Yukon celebrates its rich Czech heritage annually on the first weekend of October. The carnival begins Friday evening. The Czech Festival begins Saturday at 8am with the parade on Main Street at 10am beginning at Garth Brooks Boulevard and Main, and finishing at Main and 3rd street. The festival will feature a Main Street parade followed by singing and dancing at the Czech Building located at 5th and Cedar. Attendees of all ages will be sure to find something to enjoy whether it be a ride at the carnival, shopping at the various arts and craft booths, or dining at the many food vendor booths. Oklahoma Czechs, Inc. members and volunteers will bake more than 2,500 dozen kolache for the festival. After the new Oklahoma Czech royalty is crowned, the royalty coronation ball will take place at the historical Czech Hall located at 205 N. Czech Hall Road.

The goal and purpose of the Oklahoma Czech Festival is the preservation and sharing of the old Czech customs so dear to the people of Czech descent. These customs, including recipes, kroje, songs and dances, have been handed down from generation to generation. Today, Oklahoma Czechs, Inc. continues to strive to preserve the precious traditions our ancestors gave us.
