Mission

Anna’s House Foundation is a faith-based organization with the mission to provide immediate, stable and loving foster homes for Oklahoma County’s youngest children in state custody.  AHF desires to offer a future of hope and faith to foster children and foster families by providing housing, support, training, and resources in a Christian community setting.

Background

Anna's House foundation was formed to combat the damage caused from the continually changing living environments children in OK County face in the foster care system.  Anna’s House mission is to provide immediate, stable and loving foster homes for Oklahoma County’s youngest children in state custody.  AHF desires to offer a future of hope and faith to foster children and foster families by providing housing, support, training, and resources in a Christian community setting.

Our vision is to develop a state of the art foster care community which will include 8 single-family homes with living space for 5 children in each home entering into the foster system, primarily serving ages 0-6 and their siblings. We also plan to develop a multipurpose center for foster parent training, continuing education, community activities, and staffing.  This environment will provide these precious Oklahoma children with a stable and nurturing home environment until a long term foster or kinship placement can be found. This unique community will allow large sibling groups to be placed together.

Each child will be given individual assessments so their specific needs can be met while at the community and continuing on during their time in the foster care system. These assessments include: physical/medical, emotional, behavioral and family/kinship relationships.  Anna’s House Foundation will collaborate with other agencies and the Department of Human Services to determine longer term placement and permanency plans.

It is the goal of the Anna's House Foundation that through this aggressive and unique project we can change the future for Oklahoma County foster children for generations to come.

Impact The Anna's House Foundation has received a permit from the State of Oklahoma as a Child Placing Agency.  AHF is currently training and certifying foster homes and will begin child placement into each home once certification is complete.  As of October, 2013 Anna's House has entered into a contract with Angel's Foster Family Network for child placement.  In 2013 Anna's House has made much progress towards its mission of developing a community of transitional foster homes in Luther, Ok to receive children ages 0-6 and their siblings immediately coming into state custody. To date there are 3 homes and a playground with pavilion.
Needs
1.  Anna's House is always in need of individuals and families that have a calling to become foster parents.  It is our goal to recruit, train and certify 60 families over the next 3 years.  Inquiries please contact kaitlin@annashousefoundation.org

2.  A great need for Anna's House is funding of the transitional foster home community in Luther.  This is a $3,000,000 project that is privately funded.  At completion it will consist of 8 foster homes and a multipurpose center. For more information on financial support please contact darci@annashousefoundation.org

3. Resource Room items: We support our foster families with tangibles such as diapers, wipes, car seats, cribs, equipment, and clothing.  These items are received as donations from the general public and are always needed.  Please contact kaitlin@annashousefoundation.org.

4. Volunteers: Anna's House has many opportunities throughout the year to volunteer.  Please contact darci@annashousefoundation.org
