Our mission is to provide quality lifetime care for individuals with intellectual disabilities. The Center of Family Love provides a full
spectrum of care and services for adults with programs
designed to allow each person the opportunity to reach greater levels of
wellness and independence in a healthy and supportive environment.
The Center of Family Love depends on tax-deductible donations to continue our work in helping adults with intellectual disabilities. Your general donations help in our unmet needs for medical equipment and supplies, handicap accessible transportation, along with many other day to day needs of individuals. All capital needs are also purchased through donations and help to maintain or add to our facilities and ultimately the quality of care we are able to provide.
The intermediate care facilities of the Center of Family Love, offer 24-hour care for those needing help with daily needs in what is comparable to assisted living. We serve with five locations on one 20 acre campus in Okarche, Oklahoma, one of which is the first ever privately licensed geriatric unit in the state specific to the needs of those with intellectual disabilities.
Our group homes offer a family style living arrangement for those with semi-independent living skills with three locations in Okarche, Kingfisher and El Reno, Oklahoma. Residents of group homes share life in the home, take part in supported social outings, and work each business day in one of our vocational programs.
Our vocational programs provide residents with work at local businesses or in work centers. These vocational training and employment programs utilize the assistance of a job coach at each site to help grow and develop each person in their work. With locations in Okarche, El Reno and Kingfisher we are able to enhance socialization and work skills as well as educate the public on the abilities and strengths of each person. For residents unable to work in the community we provide educational, therapeutic and pre-vocational work training in a controlled environment on the Okarche campus. These programs and activities are a part of individual care plans to meet development goals in positive ways.
