Mission Enrich the lives of Oklahomans with print disabilities and their families by strengthening, promoting, and advocating for the accessible library services and information access provided by the Oklahoma Library for the Blind and Physically Handicapped.
OSLS helps to strengthen, preserve, and grow the many operations and outreach programs offered by OLBPH. These programs include supporting our annual Summer Reading Program, boosting the library's digital book collection, and funding library volunteer recognition events.
The AIM Center provided Braille and audio textbooks for over 1,200 visually-impaired students in Oklahoma schools.
OSLS helps fund the Library's digital book collection which loans audio books to vision-impaired and physically handicapped patrons.  The circulation of this program was over 200,000 last year.
OSLS provides hardware, software and supplies to volunteers who record and edit books and magazines in the Library's digital recording studio, with an emphasis on Oklahoma topics. 
OSLS donates funds and prizes to the annual summer reading program to encourage visually-impaired children to read.
The most pressing needs of OSLS are as follows:
$50,000 to fund the purchase of iPads, MagnaLink Zip books, and other equipment for the AIM Center. 
Volunteers with digital recording or voice experience  to record and edit audio books in the library's digital recording studio
$100,000 to update, expand and improve "The Hill," the library's sensory garden.  The expansion and updates will allow the library to expand its summer children's services and braille camps, as well as provide an event center and recreational area for the public.
