Our Mission: to improve the health of the people and communities we serve.
We believe in the power of the human spirit. The ability for innovative thinking to drive meaningful change. We believe that miracles happen within our walls every day. And by changing lives we are empowering our communities to thrive in ways they never thought possible. We believe in big ideas. Believing that philanthropy – at any level – improves how quality healthcare is given and received forever. We connect with visionaries who seek to save lives, embolden the human spirit and improve the quality of life for others through philanthropy. Above all, we embrace the opportunity to build meaningful legacies at the crossroads of life’s most challenging and invigorating moments. Join us.
Formed in 1995, INTEGRIS was the result of a merger that same year between Oklahoma Health System and Southwest Medical Center in Oklahoma City. Oklahoma Health System itself was a new organization formed one year earlier from a merger between Oklahoma Healthcare Corporation (Baptist Medical Center’s parent company) and Baptist Healthcare of Oklahoma. The entities that comprise INTEGRIS Health provide care in many settings, from sophisticated urban medical centers to your own home.
Through its affiliates, INTEGRIS Health operates four hospitals in the Oklahoma City metropolitan area, led in the Oklahoma City area by INTEGRIS Baptist Medical Center and INTEGRIS Southwest Medical Center. INTEGRIS Health also maintains three regional hospitals across the state and is in a joint venture with five others. The organization has affiliated mental health providers in 50 Oklahoma towns and cities and offers hospice services through Hospice of Oklahoma County. Approximately 6 out of every 10 Oklahomans live within 30 miles of a facility or physician included in the INTEGRIS Health organization. Collectively, the entities within INTEGRIS Health maintain more than 1,900 licensed beds and have medical staffs that number more than 2,500 physicians.
INTEGRIS offers a wide-range of highly developed inpatient, outpatient and supplementary services. Excellence in medical care along with research, staff education, support groups for patients and their families and educational programs for the community, creates healthier communities and inspires trust in our commitment to provide Oklahomans with The Most Challenging Healing™. Our specialized Centers of Excellence are renowned for their treatment of: burn, cancer, fertility, hearing, heart, mental health, neuromuscular, rehabilitation, sleep disorders, stroke, transplant, and women and children’s services.
When visionary donors connect their passion with us – the impact is lives saved and greater healing for all of us. Here’s a quick snapshot of philanthropy in action last year:
·A Family’s Passion for HEART helped to designed a program that more quickly and efficiently gives rural Oklahomans access to the same type of acute cardiac care provided in the metro .
·A Husband & Wife’s Passion for BURN resulted in a significant lead gift to launch the INTEGRIS Paul Silverstein Burn Center Endowment ensuring burn patients continue to have the highest quality of care forever.
·An Organization’s Passion in REHAB led INTEGRIS Jim Thorpe Rehabilitation to become one of the first 14 facilities in the world to offer the Ekso™ bionic suit to patients with lower-extremity paralysis or weakness, enabling them to stand and walk again.
·INTEGRIS Employees’ Passions launched our inaugural employee giving campaign this year that saw more than 1,100 employees give to their personal passion to the tune of nearly $250,000 resulting in the purchase of a new NICU transport isolette and 21 other projects impacting more than 16,000 Oklahomans across the state.
We believe something very special can happen when a donor connects their personal passion with a charitable project that is close to their heart. When this kind of perfect alignment occurs, magic happens, and lives are saved and changed forever. Join us.
Women’s Services-Most people imagine the delivery of their child to be one of the most special times of their lives. Unfortunately, many moms’ dream to hold her infant is shattered as the baby is transferred to a NICU, often in a different city than where she is located. TinyTeleTalk™enables caregivers to collaborate with medical professionals in small community rural hospitals by allowing new mothers the opportunity to see their baby through telemedicine capabilities and fosters emotional bonding between baby and parents allowing each to interact even when not in the same room. Total Need: $20,000
Through our Centers of Excellence in the areas of Cardiovascular, Burn, Neuromuscular, Nursing, Rehabilitation, Stroke, and Transplant care INTEGRIS is meeting its mission to improve the health of the people and communities we serve. Each day our physicians, nurses and professional staff take on the most challenging areas of health care in Oklahoma. A donor whose passion to make a difference in any part of the INTEGRIS mission can expect that their gift will have a significant impact on the lives of people throughout the state.
In 2012, INTEGRIS Health added new focus to its foundation governance by restructuring the INTEGRIS Foundation to better match the mission of our healthcare system. Specifically, INTEGRIS Southwest Medical Center Foundation and the INTEGRIS Rural Health Foundation merged with INTEGRIS Baptist Medical Center Foundation to form the new INTEGRIS Foundation. Beyond simplifying three separate foundations to a single 501 (c ) (3) organization, this new structure strengthens our governing board while allowing for active groups of supporters to assist in philanthropic efforts for all of our hospitals across Oklahoma.
