Mission: To raise and invest funds and to manage resources in order to provide for scholarships, grants, and capital support for Redlands Community College and its students.

The Redlands Community College Foundation was established in 1977 to provide financial assistance to eligible students of Redlands Community College through the awarding of scholarships and grants to support achievement of their higher educational goals. Additionally, the Foundation has the purpose of raising funds for capital support of  the college and its projects.  The Foundation also serves as a 501© 3 Tax-Exempt Organization through which the college can receive Federal, State and Private grant funds for both restricted and unrestricted purposes. In 2007, the Redlands Community College Foundation moved its 14 endowed scholarship funds totalling just over $200,000 to the Oklahoma City Community Foundation. Since that time, the Redlands Community College Foundation has worked to increase the number of endowed funds in support of its mission.  There are now 26 endowed funds totalling over $530,000 endowed at the OCCF.

1.  Continued to work to increase endowed scholarship funding.
2.  Raised net funding of $15,500.00 at the annual Beans & Jeans Fundraising dinner for support of scholarships and a capital project to help provide funding for renovation of a historic Chapel located on College property to be used as a high technology learning and research center.
3.  Raised over $4,000.00 at the El Reno Annual Tour of Homes event sponsored by the Foundation.

Comments on Financials
Foundation Staff Comments
All prior year financial information is from audited financial statements, which are presented on a modified cash basis.
The audit opinion changed from "Unqualified" to "Qualified" as of FY2013 and remains to thru FY2015.  Refer to the audit paragraph "Basis for Qualified Opinion."  Because of the uncertainty of the legality of the Ground Lease Agreement, the Sublease Agreement, and the Manage and Maintain Agreement as described in Note 15 to the financial statements, the auditors were unable to form an opinion regarding the amounts at which the property and equipment and the capital lease obligations are recorded in the accompanying statement of assets, liabilities, and net assets or the amount of depreciation expense for the years ended, January 31, 2015, 2014 & 2013.
Also, note the last paragraph (Page 16) regarding the request to the State of Oklahoma's Attorney General's office questioning the propriety of all involved to enter into such terms of the Ground Lease Agreement (Note 3), the Sublease Agreement (Note 9), and the Manage and Maintain Agreement (Note 14).  After further review of the Manage and Maintain Agreement, the AG's office notified RCC that all rent and related expenses must be paid directly by the Foundation.  Therefore, for subsequent periods, the Foundation will be responsible for making all payments relating to this property.  Additionally, the validity of the other agreements is under investigation and should be determined by the AG's office at a later date.  As of the report date, no decision has been made on the validity of these agreements.  Management is uncertain as to the outcome of the AG's decision.  Any changes to these agreements could materially affect these financial statements.
Note: FY2015 and FY2014, the expense "Payments to Affiliates" are related to the Cougar Crossing Phase II expenses of $550,672 and $559,452, respectively. Refer to Note 9 - Capital Leases regarding Cougar Crossing Apartments, Phase II, under a capital lease dated March 28, 2012 and expiring January 2063.
