Downtown Oklahoma City Initiatives’ mission is to foster an environment of creativity and culture through public art and activation.

DOKC Initiatives activities include urban research, encouragement and funding assistance for public art, identification markers, landscape projects and revitalization and beautification projects in downtown Oklahoma City.

Recent projects funded by Downtown Oklahoma City Initiatives are:

1. Neighbors Project by John Raymond Mireles - this large-scale photography installation can be found in the ground-floor windows of the BOK Park Plaza building. Neighbors Project features oversized portraits of people from across America in an effort to encourage national unity.
2. The West Village Parking Garage Murals will be installed in the next few months in the Film Row district in west downtown. The works tell the industrial story of the district through a whimsical and colorful interpretation by Denise Duong.
