 The Clinic is a tax-exempt 501(c)(3) corporation run mostly by volunteers to provide free health care. Expenses include medical, pharmaceutical and office supplies, Clinic Coordinator and insurance. Expenses for the 2011-2012 fiscal year were $22,531.

The Clinic’s sources of income are donations and grants from individuals, organizations and foundations.
 
Volunteer Opportunities

Physicians, physician assistants, nurse practitioners are needed in the fields of family and internal medicine. Receptionists and translators and medical instructors are also needed.

Volunteers help for three hours on Saturdays from about 8:45 a.m. to 11:45 a.m.

Mission Good Samaritan Health Clinic of Edmond continues the healing ministry of Jesus Christ for those with no health insurance within the Edmond community by promoting wellness and providing physical, emotional and spiritual care with dignity.
Background Leaders of St. Monica Catholic Church became aware of parishioners requiring health care they could not afford. After researching the needs of the community were assessed, a plan was formulated and Good Samaritan Health Clinic was established in 2009 as a 501c3 corporation. The first patients were seen on Feb. 14, 2009. The clinic facilitates more than 700 patient visits per year.
Impact We see 9-20 patients per Saturday.
Needs Physicians, physician assistants, nurse practitioners are needed in the fields of family and internal medicine. Receptionists and translators are also needed.

Volunteers help for three hours on Saturdays from about 8:45 a.m. to 11:45 a.m.

The clinic consists of a dynamic group of people. Simply match your personal schedule with the clinic's schedule. Most individuals volunteer at least once every month or two.
CEO/Executive Director Statement We envision a future when:
  •     The clinic will be open more frequently
  •     Medications will be available at no or minimal cost
  •     Dental services will be provided
  •     GSHCE will occupy its own facility
  •     We can expand our participation and leadership with the Health Alliance for the Uninsured (HAU) and Empowering Church Heathcare Outreach (ECHO).
 
By achieving these goals, GSHCE will be more fully able to provide a wider range of services and provide the needed care to a growing population of people in need in the Edmond community.
